Dorothy’s Meatloaf
INGREDIENTS
2 lbs. ground beef
½ cup breadcrumbs
½ cup oats
2 eggs
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped celery (precook both in microwave for 2 minutes)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
¾ cup ketchup
¼ cup instant potatoes
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix all ingredients together and shape into a loaf.
Optional: Add green pepper slices on top or wrap in bacon.
Bake 2 hours.
ALTERNATE VERSIONS
Jane’s
Use ground beef, ground turkey, or ground deer.
You can also substitute half ketchup and half salsa.
Kelsey’s
Place an 8 oz. package of fresh mozzarella cheese in the middle of the loaf before baking.
