Join us in congratulating Judy Plantinga, Area Exeuctive Director of our North Indiana division, for being recognized as a Veteran VIP in McKnight’s Women of Distinction Awards!
Judy got her start in long term care as a dietary aide at the age of 15. Prior becoming an Area Executive Director, Judy acted as Executive Director for Cedar Creek Health Campus in Lowell, Indiana – being a beloved leader there for 13 years.
Often seen answering call lights, participating in Life Enrichment programs, and being with residents on weekends, Judy’s impact on the lives of our residents and employees is beyond measure.
Judy has also been an advocate of continuing education – earning her Master of Healthcare Administration so that she might better serve her residents and staff. Along the way, she developed exemplary leadership skills that have guided countless others into the field. Most recently, she passed the professional torch on to her own daughter, who recently became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator herself in 2022.
Entering it’s fifth year, this joint program of McKnight’s Long-Term News, McKnight’s Senior Living, and McKnight’s Home Care recognizes women who have made a significant impact in the world of senior living. Those honored with the title of ‘Veteran VIP’ are recognized for having more than 15 years of experience in the industry – while also being at a level lower than Vice President or Vice President equivalent.
Congratulations Judy – and thank you for making a difference in the lives of those you serve!
