How We Celebrate – Beyond The Sea Theme Week

Our latest Theme Week has returned to the dock! From August 21st – August 27th, residents and staff from over 120 Trilogy communities celebrated Beyond The Sea – a seven-day long series of high-seas themed activities, music, and meal options, all culminating towards our special themed dinner – The Captain’s Ball. Join us in in this edition of How We Celebrate as we take a look back at the week through the spyglass!

It was smooth sailing across Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan as Trilogy residents and staff showed out for the Beyond the Sea theme. Emulating what it would be like to be on a cruise in August (excluding the rough waters and sunburn), members of the Trilogy family donned Captain’s hats in front of cruise-inspired backdrops as they fully immersed themselves in the perfect summer getaway.
From Cedar Creek Health Campus to The Meadows of Delphos, seniors across the Midwest spent a week diving into poolside exercises, undersea arts and crafts, and staff-assisted water slides that would make any grandchild jealous. After all, what better way to cool off from the summer heat than with the creative minds of our Life Enrichment teams?
In the galley, our culinary experts were busy reeling in some of the most delicious menu items ever before seen on the seven seas – including our homemade grilled shrimp and scallops, she crab bisque, sweet dutchess potatoes, and more. Our compliments to all of our four-star chefs for putting on such an incredible Theme Dinner – we couldn’t have asked for a better end to the week!
