Assisted Living vs. Memory Care – What’s The Difference?
June 16, 2025 | by Trilogy Health Services

- Bathing, showering, oral care, and grooming support
- Regular opportunities for activity and socialization with some support provided
- Accommodations for mechanical soft, pureed, or thickened liquids diets
What is Memory Care?
Memory Care services are typically recommended for those living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or any other form of cognitive impairment. These individuals require 24/7 support – both with daily tasks and exercises that will help preserve their memory.
Memory Care includes:
- Alzheimer’s care with an emphasis on cognitive health
- Regular opportunities for activity and socialization with extra caregiver support
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
