As our senior living communities felt the heat of this record-setting summer season, we took the opportunity to get creative in celebrating our 80’s and 90’s – even on 80 and 90-degree days. From Theme Dinners to sleepovers, Labor Day parades to Fourth of July firework shows, the Midwest was booming with stories about how we spent the summertime. As we begin to look forward to the many adventures that the fall season will bring, enjoy reading about how our campuses stayed cool on the final days of summer!

Our residents at The Oaks at NorthPointe Woods in Battle Creek, MI loved participating in the community’s annual car show. Benefiting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Oaks at NorthPointe Woods was able to raise $2,400 through this incredible event.

StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford, IN  community members spent their Southeast Retreat exploring the beauty of Brown County! Along with a visit to the R.C. Steele Museum and the Brown County Inn, the trip was filled with arts and crafts, live entertainment, picnics, and more. For more about the resident retreat, visit the campus’ Facebook page

Residents and staff of Valley View Health Campus in Fremont, OH loved enjoying their days underneath the summer sun. A trip to Kelly’s island, a fishing outing, and an ice cream social are just a few of the ways that the campus made the great outdoors even greater.

Westport Place Health Campus in Louisville, KY hosted a South Kentucky Farmer’s Market, where ice cream and fresh vegetables were enjoyed by all. Residents from sister campuses even came by to join in on the fun!

Of course, just because the summer is over doesn’t mean that the fun stops. We’re committed to filling our residents’ days with joy, rain or shine, 365 days a year. Click here to read about the lifestyle we offer with our robust Life Enrichment and Dining Programs, and click here to schedule a visit to a campus and see it for yourself!
