My mother-in-law has lived here for over ten years. She started out in independent living and was there for a number of years. About a year and a half ago we finally had to move her to assisted living and then six months ago she moved to the nursing home care. She has been cared for as if she were in our own home, only better. The food is outstanding! I would recommend the Meadows to anyone looking for a wonderful place for their loved one to live. We have never been disappointed.

My mother was very apprehensive about moving to The Meadows fearing from rumors that her assets would be seized. When finally the time came for her to make a short-term stay, she found the experience satisfying and agreed to make a permanent move. Through a number of years first in assisted living and then in the health care wing, she remained positive about her care and interactions with the staff. I appreciated the housing that was available for visiting family members.

The Meadows has a homey atmosphere and a small community. There are a lot of rural fields and a pond to look at, and it’s a lot cheaper. The dining room is great. They had a happy hour on Friday afternoons where the residents family can come in and have snacks. The staff is very pleasant. They have different things going on, like church services, bible studies, and bingo. There’s one area that is so nicely decorated that the community comes in and uses it for weddings. It’s been a very pleasant experience so far.

Residents are treated like royalty in a hotel-like setting. Just today, our activities director surprised a couple who have been married for over 50 years, and took them out to an anniversary dinner…flowers and all. And this was planned in a matter of minutes. Good things happen here all. the. time. The team is happy, and the residents come first. I love my work!
