Memory Care

In our Health Centers, our Legacy Lane memory care neighborhoods offer the right amount of assistance in a safe environment for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of memory loss.

When the challenges of Alzheimer's disease or related forms of dementia become too great to allow a loved one to remain at home, we help family members rest easy in the knowledge that they have selected the finest Memory Care provider available. Our specially selected team members are trained to become experts in Memory Care and are placed on consistent care giving teams, adding familiarity and predictability to our residents' lives. Care is offered based on our residents' preferences and historical patterns and we offer clinical services around the clock should our residents require medical care or treatments.

In 2008, Trilogy Health Services opened its first Legacy in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Legacy offers the same care, compassion and excellent quality of life as our Legacy Lane neighborhoods, but goes even further in incorporating progressive, proven dementia care components.

The Legacy is a free-standing, Memory Care home that is located on the grounds of an existing Trilogy health care campus. The luxurious, home-like environment can accommodate 30 residents in private suites and integrates a variety of avant-garde aspects to better serve the cognitive needs of our residents. While round-the-clock nursing services are provided, the medical aspects of this care venue are minimized. Instead, residents may enjoy spending time assisting team members with cooking or baking in a fully-functioning kitchen, or they may enjoy keeping the enclosed courtyard looking its best by caring for the plants and flowers that adorn the area. Perhaps, a rousing game of tennis on a Wii game system is of interest or simply enjoying a conversation with a friend while sitting in one of The Legacy's indoor porches is desired. If a bit of luxury is wished for, a supervised spa with a specially designed whirl pool tub, and full-service salon is available.
