Louisville, KY (April 08 2010) Trilogy Health Services, LLC (“Trilogy”) today announced the opening of Creasy Springs Health Campus and the Legacy at Creasy Springs in Lafayette, Indiana. Creasy Springs will be the company’s fourth community in the area, joining Cumberland Pointe Health Campus (West Lafayette), St. Mary Healthcare Center (Lafayette) and St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center (Delphi). The company also has plans to open a new health campus location in Monticello, Indiana later this summer as part of its plan to cluster campuses in and around attractive markets such as the greater Lafayette metropolis.

Exclusive to Creasy Springs is the innovative Town Square Residential Living model, which allows the campus to offer a full continuum of senior living and related healthcare services including short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and assisted living in a non-institutional setting.

According to Randall Bufford, President and CEO of Trilogy, “Our ‘Town Square’ residential living concept and person centered service model is designed to foster independence and create as much of a home like setting as possible. We are very pleased to bring these expanded senior living and health services to area residents. We are proud to be members of the Lafayette community, and we appreciate the warm welcome we have received at our existing campuses. We look forward to continuing to meet the needs of the citizens of Tippecanoe County and the surrounding communities in our new Creasy Springs location.”

Creasy Springs features a predominance of private room accommodations and numerous common living areas where residents can relax and visit with guests. Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services are delivered in a state-of the-art Health Club located in the Health Center. Dining Services, featuring menu selections are offered in three distinct dining areas and a private dining room is available for use by residents and families, as well as area civic groups.

Also located on the Creasy Springs Campus is The Legacy, a 30-unit memory care residence designed specifically for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The Legacy design provides maximum independence and personalized care in a secured environment, which resembles a home more than an institution. Features of The Legacy include “life stations” that encourage residents to engage in familiar tasks, and décor that encourages memories of days gone by, a secured courtyard that promotes regular contact with nature, family-style dining, and private bedrooms with private baths. The activity programs are specially designed to be responsive to the energy patterns of those living with dementia and are based on protocols embraced by advocacy groups such as the Alzheimer’s Association and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Staff working in The Legacy receive additional dementia-specific training that encompasses person-centered approaches to care, communication techniques, behavioral interventions, and working with residents’ families.

“We are excited to offer our Resident First approach to care which involves more personalized choices for our residents. Our focus will not be on schedules and task lists, instead it will be driven by what the residents want to do and when they want to do it,” said Gail Baldwin, Executive Director of Creasy Springs. We welcome the opportunity to serve our community and encourage everyone to stop by for a tour to sense the difference our approach makes for our residents.”

Area residents are invited to an Open House at Creasy Springs Health Campus on Sunday, April 11th, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Creasy Springs is located at 1750 S. Creasy Lane in Lafayette.
