Trilogy Health Services announced today the opening of their 77th health campus in East Lansing, Michigan.

East Lansing, MI (January 16 2014) Trilogy Health Services announced today the opening of their 77th health campus in East Lansing, Michigan. The Willows at East Lansing features a full continuum of senior living and related healthcare services, including short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, specialized memory care, long-term care, adult day care and respite services; all offered in a homelike setting that features an abundance of private suites, chef-prepared meals, and services specially tailored to meet residents' individual preferences. The Willows at East Lansing is located at 3500 Coolidge Road.

The Willows is built on the "Village Center" residential living model created by Trilogy Health Services. The Village Center design allows residents to maximize their independence, while creating a more homelike, less-institutional atmosphere. The design features small neighborhood clusters that surround a central gathering area featuring a full service restaurant, ice cream parlor, health club and other amenities; creating a sense of community for our residents and families.

Services in the Village Center will include Assisted Living, Short-Term Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, and Respite Care. These options will allow the campus staff to care for a wide variety of residents - from those who need little assistance to those with complex medical needs. Also located at The Willows at East Lansing is The Legacy at The Willows, a neighborhood designed specifically to care for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

According to Randall Bufford, President and CEO of Trilogy, "Our commitment to a servant leadership culture and our dedication to providing exceptional customer service that exceeds our customers' expectations are the cornerstones of Trilogy's operating philosophy. When you combine great services with a team of dedicated and compassionate caregivers in our residential model, the result is an outstanding senior living experience."

"We like to say you can feel the difference the minute you walk through the doors of one of our campuses, and you see it everywhere you look," Bufford continued. "From staff engagement and our Resident 1st philosophy, to the local flavors on our menus, and even the names given to our different residential hallways - everything at a Trilogy campus is focused on our customers' preferences and helping them have strong social connections, engagement and purpose, while also providing options for all levels of healthcare."

"We are thrilled to be serving residents of East Lasing and the surrounding communities," said Lyndon Johnson, Executive Director of The Willows of East Lansing. "We look forward to bringing our exceptional approach to resident care and services to area seniors. Everything about our campus is tailored to meet our residents' needs and personal choices."

“The Willows is a beautiful facility, but more impressive is the quality of the people who work there,” commented Diane Dabich, whose mother is moving into The Willows. “They work together for the betterment of the residents and their families.” Debra Willard, whose aunt is a Willows resident added, “Customer Service at The Willows at East Lansing has been exceptional. The positive attitude of the staff is contagious, and after every interaction I have felt hopeful.”

The Willows at East Lansing features numerous living rooms and common areas where residents can relax and visit with guests. The resident living areas are organized into neighborhoods, allowing caregivers and residents to truly get to know each other and establish long-term relationships. That same resident-centered focus is used in activity planning, menu selection and other campus programs.

The Legacy at The Willows provides maximum independence and personalized care in the safest environment possible. The Legacy features "life stations" that encourage residents to engage in familiar tasks, and decor that encourages reminiscing, in addition to a secured courtyard, family-style dining, and private bedrooms with private baths. The specially designed activity program, based on protocols embraced by advocacy groups such as the Alzheimer's Association and the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, are responsive to the energy patterns of those living with dementia. Staff working in The Legacy receive additional dementia-specific training that encompasses person-centered approaches to care, communication techniques and behavioral interventions.

"We invite members of the community to attend our Community Open House Sunday, January 19 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., to take tours of our campus and meet our team of caregivers," continued Johnson. "You can also learn more about the special incentives and discounts offered to through our Founder's Club."

In addition to The Willows at East Lansing, Trilogy's future development plans in Michigan include a Village Center health campus location in Okemos (The Willows at Okemos - scheduled to open in mid- 2014), and new campus construction in Howell, Ml and Novi, Ml (scheduled openings in 2015).
