Village squares have always been a hub of activity in communities across the Midwest - a place to meet, mingle, socialize and catch up on the day’s news and happenings.
Lowell, IN (June 30 2014) Village squares have always been a hub of activity in communities across the Midwest - a place to meet, mingle, socialize and catch up on the day’s news and happenings. Friendships were forged, and communities were built through the relationships built around the village square.
Seniors in Lowell, Indiana can now experience this same sense of community with today’s opening of Cedar Creek Health Campus, the area’s newest senior living alternative. Cedar Creek is built on the "Village Center" residential living model created by Louisville, Kentucky-based Trilogy Health Services. The Village Center design allows residents to maximize their independence, while creating a more homelike, less-institutional atmosphere. The design features small neighborhood clusters that surround a central gathering area featuring a full-service restaurant, ice cream parlor, health club and other amenities; creating a sense of community for residents and families.
Cedar Creek features a full continuum of senior living and related healthcare services, all offered in a homelike setting that features an abundance of private suites, chef-prepared meals, and services specially tailored to meet residents' individual preferences and achieve our goals of providing home, hospitality and healthcare. Services in the Village Center will include Assisted Living, Memory Care, Short-Term Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, Transitional Care and Respite Care. These options will allow the campus staff to care for a wide variety of residents - from those who need little assistance to those with complex medical needs. Cedar Creek is located at 18275 Burr Street in Lowell, Indiana. Cedar Creek is Trilogy’s third northwest Indiana location, joining Avalon Springs Health Campus (Valparaiso) and Spring Mill Health Campus (Merrillville).
According to Randall Bufford, President and CEO of Trilogy, “Our commitment to a servant leadership culture and our dedication to providing exceptional customer service that exceeds our customers’ expectations are the cornerstones of Trilogy’s operating philosophy. When you have great services, delivered by a dedicated and compassionate team of caregivers in our ‘Village Center’ residential model, the result is a senior living experience that allows our residents to live truly meaningful lives.”
"We like to say you can feel the difference the minute you walk through the doors of one of our campuses, and you see it everywhere you look," Bufford continued. "From staff engagement and our Resident 1st philosophy, to the local flavors on our menus, and even the names given to our different residential hallways - everything at a
Trilogy campus is focused on our customers' preferences and helping them have strong social connections, engagement and sense of purpose, while also providing options for all levels of healthcare."
“We are thrilled to expand our services to the residents of Lowell and the surrounding communities,” said Ryan Carlson, Executive Director of Cedar Creek. “We look forward to bringing our exceptional approach to resident care and services to area seniors. We invite members of the community to attend our Community Open House on Sunday, June 22, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., to take tours of our campus and meet our team of caregivers."
Cedar Creek is already getting rave reviews from residents and family members. “Cedar Creek has the beauty of the Taj Mahal, the security of Fort Knox, and with the service we’ve already experienced at another Trilogy campus, I know it will also have loving comfort from the employees and wonderful meals,” commented Scott K., son of a Cedar Creek resident.
“I am so very excited about Cedar Creek’s fine dining program. Since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I love the idea of ordering eggs made-to-order daily,” added Vera K., who is one of the first residents who will reside at Cedar Creek. Barbara, daughter of another resident, added “You have made the idea of moving into Cedar Creek so inviting, and have taken such a personal interest in our mom that it has helped all of us in the transition from living independently to assisted living. I have never thought in her older years that my mom would live with anyone but me. But after talking to the Cedar Creek team, we know that this will be just as great of a home for my mom.”
Cedar Creek features private suites with private baths, and numerous common areas where residents can relax and visit with guests. The resident living spaces are organized into neighborhoods, allowing caregivers and residents to truly get to know each other and establish long-term relationships. That same resident-centered focus is carried through to healthcare services, activity planning, menu selection and other campus programs.
"As part of our opening celebration, we are offering special membership in our Founder’s Club,” Carlson continued. “Membership in the Founder’s Club includes first selection of floor plan and suite location, no move in fees, and a discounted reservation fee. To qualify, you simply complete an application and put down a fully refundable deposit. We invite you to stop by our campus to learn more about the Founder’s Club and our other services.”
