For Trilogy Health Services, wellness means so much more than granola bars in the break room or mid-day walking breaks. It means genuinely caring for every employee, and offering resources, support, and empowerment, wherever they are on their wellness journey. At Trilogy, wellness is a way of life, which is why for the fifth year in a row a group of Trilogy employees will be donning helmets and putting rubber to the road in order to spread the word about wellness, and celebrate those who have dedicated themselves to living their healthiest life, despite whatever obstacles are placed in their way.

The Trilogy 200, Trilogy’s 200 mile wellness bicycle ride, has become a much anticipated yearly tradition. What began as a group of 11 cycling enthusiasts pedaling their way across Indiana and Ohio in 2013 has grown by leaps and bounds in the subsequent years. 2014 saw the group grow to 13 completing all 3 days, with 9 additional riders adding their spokes for different sections of the ride. In 2015, nearly 30 employees took up the challenge. Their number grew to 37 in the fourth year of the ride, which moved north to Michigan. 23 of these riders tackled the entire 200 mile route. Now, in year five, 40+ employees will be donning Trilogy 200 gear, grabbing their handlebars, and gobbling up mile after mile in southwest Indiana. 32 of these employees will ride the entirety of the tour.

“Our commitment to employee wellness is an important part of who we are as a company. Our annual Wellness Week kicks off June 4th, and we’re excited to continue educating our employees on the importance of taking an active role in all aspects of their wellness. This means being informed when it comes to their physical, emotional, and mental health,” commented Randy Bufford, President and CEO of Trilogy Health Services. “This is the 5th year for the Trilogy 200, our signature Wellness Week event. As we tour twelve of our Trilogy campuses throughout southwestern Indiana, we’ll be emphasizing the importance of personal responsibility when it comes to wellness. Our message is based on three basic principles: One – Be active and avoid a sedentary lifestyle; Two – Know your metrics through regular preventative screenings and take action as needed based on those results; Three – Quit the use of tobacco products. At Trilogy, we believe in the power of leading by example. Through our investments in wellness we put that belief into action.”

The T200 began with a kickoff celebration at Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 5th. The ride will begin on June 6th at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus, also in Terre Haute, and will include stops in Vincennes, Indiana (BridgePointe Health Campus) and Washington, Indiana (The Villages at Oak Ridge). Day 2 of the ride begins in Princeton, Indiana (RiverOaks Health Campus), and includes two stops in Evansville, Indiana (West River Health Campus and River Pointe Health Campus). Day 2 will wrap up in Boonville, Indiana (Woodmont Health Campus). During the final day of the tour, riders will make stops in Petersburg, Indiana (Amber Manor Care Center), Jasper, Indiana (St. Charles Health Campus), Ferdinand, Indiana (Scenic Hills Care Center), and Tell City, Indiana (Oakwood Health Campus).

At each stop, Trilogy will host a wellness fair for campus employees. The fair will feature booths to educate and inform employees on a range of topics, including diet and nutrition, understanding your health statistics (blood pressure, etc.), and available benefits and wellness programs.

Looking for a way to get involved? During Day 2, Trilogy invites employees, resident family members, community members, vendors and others to join them for a Family Fun Ride/Run/Walk, which begins at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana and runs for 6 miles along the University of Southern Indiana Burdette Park Trail. The T200 team will leave West River Health Campus at 11:30 a.m. and head towards the University of Southern Indiana Lot A. The team will arrive at 11:30 a.m., and the event will end at approximately 2:00 p.m. For the convenience of all riders, walkers, and runners, the path will be marked and staff will be present to provide water and light snacks. Community members are invited to lead by example when it comes to their personal wellness journeys, and inspire their family and friends to do the same!
