When it comes to employee health and wellness, Trilogy Health Services understands the importance of leading by example. The Louisville-based provider of senior health and hospitality services offers its employees numerous benefits for practicing a healthy lifestyle, as well as helpful resources and a number of opportunities to put Trilogy’s culture of wellness into action outside of the workplace. This year, Trilogy employees will once again challenge themselves to exemplify employee engagement and a commitment to healthy living.
 
For the past three years, a group of Trilogy employees have cycled 200 miles during their wellness bicycle race, the Trilogy 200. Trilogy’s dedication to wellness can be marked in part by the increase in employee participation each year. 11 individuals participated in the trek across Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio during the first year. For year two, the group grew to 16, with 11 additional riders joining the pack for various sections of the ride through central Indiana. Year three saw over 30 employees strap on their helmets and don blue and white T-200 gear to take on the challenging ride through Ohio. 2016 marks year four of this wellness journey, with 40 employees travelling to Michigan to participate. 27 plan on cycling the entire 200 miles! The Trilogy 200 will begin Tuesday, June 7th and will progress over 3 days, with riders making stops at 9 of Trilogy’s 100 campuses.

This year, we are excited to be touring nine of our Trilogy campuses in Michigan from June 7th – 9th. Our message is simple and includes three basic principles that center around taking personal responsibility for your health: One - Be active and avoid a sedentary lifestyle; Two - Know your metrics through regular preventative screenings and take action as needed based on those results; Three - Quit the use of tobacco products. Trilogy is a company that cares about its employees, and our investments in wellness are proof that we not only talk the talk, but are willing to walk, run, and bike to support our team members on their personal journey toward wellness.”
 
The route begins in Shelby Township, Michigan at Shelby Crossing Health Campus and proceeds on Day 1 to Lapeer, Michigan (Stonegate Health Campus), and concludes in Grand Blanc, Michigan at The Oaks at Woodfield. Day 2 begins in Commerce, Michigan (Westlake Health Campus) and includes stops in Milford, Michigan, Howell, Michigan (The Willows at Howell), Okemos, Michigan (The Willows at Okemos), and East Lansing, Michigan (The Willows at East Lansing). Day 3 wraps up with stops in Jackson, Michigan (Ridgecrest Health Campus) and Battle Creek, Michigan (The Oaks at NorthPointe Woods).
 
At each stop, Trilogy will host a wellness fair for campus employees. The fair will feature booths to educate and inform employees on a range of topics, including diet and nutrition, understanding your health statistics (blood pressure, etc.), and available benefits and wellness programs.
 
Looking for a way to get involved? During Day 2, Trilogy Health Services invites community members, employees, residents, families, and vendors to participate in the Family Fun Ride/Run/Walk, which begins at Carl’s Family YMCA in Milford, Michigan and runs along a paved bike path. The path runs for approximately 3.5 miles roundtrip. The T200 team will leave Westlake Health Campus at 8:00 a.m., and will arrive at the YMCA at 9:00 a.m. The event will end at 11:30 a.m. For the convenience of all riders, walkers, and runners, the path will be marked and staff will be present to provide water and light snacks. Community members are invited to lead by example when it comes to their personal wellness journeys, and inspire their family and friends to do the same!
