Soul Food Month is a time for sharing and preparing family recipes that have been passed down for generations. And since these chefs are known to spread on the butter as much as they spread on the hospitality, we thought your main dish could use a healthier spin.

Try out Trilogy’s Oven ‘Fried’ Chicken, and enjoy better health as well as better taste.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz chicken breast, rinsed and dried
  • 1/2 c Cornflakes, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp Buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Chives
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • Black Pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix the cereal and seasonings in a bowl. Dredge the chicken in buttermilk and coat with cereal and seasoning. Place in a pan and bake for 20 minutes.
