When Chef Terry Price volunteers, he really goes all out. This year, Terry volunteered to assist our residents with the Campus in Color contest. He brought in plants and herbs from his own garden and planted them for us in our courtyard. Then he offered to do a Staff-Led Inspired Living group and invited residents to his home so they could see his beautiful garden. Eight RidgeCrest gardeners traveled to Terry’s home one sunny day to tour his yard and garden area - which is a Certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat. He identified all of his plants and trees and encouraged the residents to taste the herbs and berries that were growing there. The residents then gathered on his patio where he treated everyone to homemade cookies, watermelon wedges and lemonade. He had also picked lavender from his garden and made small bouquets for each resident to keep. Thank you, Terry, for sharing your talents and your beautiful garden with our residents, and thanks to Lori Lowder (Life Enrichment Director) and Jake Hiler (Executive Director) at RidgeCrest Health Campus in Jackson, MI, for submitting this Customer Service Moment.
